Orissa Academy of Social Science & Integrated Studies (OASIS) has been set up by REEDS since 2007-08; Recognized by Govt. of Orissa and Affiliated Utkal University of Culture, Bhubaneswar and Approved Study Centre of Fakir Mohan University, Balasore. The REEDS is a 15 yrs old Development Agency registered under SR Act. 1860, Foreign Contribution Regulation Act. 1976 and Under Section 12A & 80G of Income Tax Act. Working with different departments of Central & State Govt. along with International agencies like UNDP, DFID, TDH(Germany), USAID, REDCROSS etc.

To be an institution of excellence in higher education that continually responds to the changing social realities through the development and application of knowledge, towards creating a people-centred and ecologically sustainable society that promotes and protects the dignity, equality, social justice and human rights for all, with special emphasis on marginalised and vulnerable groups.

Mission

In pursuance of its vision and guiding principles, OASIS organises teaching programmes to facilitate the development of competent and committed professionals for practice, research and teaching; undertakes research; develops and disseminates knowledge; and reaches out to the larger community through extension, at the local, national, regional and international levels.

Social Work grew out of humanitarian and democratic ideals and its values are based on respect for equality, worth and dignity of all people. Human rights and social justice serve as the motivation and justification for social work action. Social work strives to alleviate poverty and to liberate vulnerable and oppressed people in order to promote social inclusion. Social work profession addresses the barriers, inequities and injustices that exist in our society.

	The 64th Independence Day was celebrated by the staff & students of OASIS with great pump & joy. Founder & Director of the college Sri Sanjay Sahu hoisted the National Flag followed by National Anthem"Jana, Gana, Mana..." and all the members of OASIS family took oath to work for the country with great commitment & solidarity. In this auspicious occasion the Director launched the official website of the college "www.oasis.edu.in" for the public.
